Richmond, South Yarra and Toorak
Top fashion outlets and chic restaurants are found in these inner south-eastern suburbs, including multi-cultural Richmond, leafy Toorak and many-faceted Prahran.
Chapel Street
Over 1000 shops make up the Chapel Street precinct, which stretches over 2 kilometres. Enjoy the incredible range this district has to offer with cutting edge fashion, cafes and the Jam Factory complex with it's fifteen cinemas.
In the evening, Chapel Street precinct has a large number of restaurants, bars and nightclubs catering to all tastes.
Como Historic House and Garden

Prahran
Unlike neighbouring wealthier suburbs, Prahran caters for the more budget-oriented shopper and is one of Melbourne's most multicultural precincts. The cafes and bars in the southern part of Chapel Street are more informal than their South Yarra counterparts. Commercial Road is the centre of Melbourne's gay and lesbian culture and has plenty of nightclubs, bars, cafes and bookshops.
Prahran Market
Take tram 72 from Swanston Street to stop 29 where Melbourne's oldest produce market opens on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Sundays, try, taste and buy from selected Prahran Market traders together with new fresh produce growers and gourmet produce.

Richmond
Only a short tram ride from the city centre, Richmond is a shopper's paradise. Fashion outlets specialise in designer seconds; Greek restaurants abound; Vietnamese culture thrives on Victoria Street; and remnants of Melbourne's classic old architecture abound.

Toorak Village
